I’m sure this post will not age well so…if you’re reading this after June of 2024, you better check the Global Methodist website for more current information. The Global Methodist denomination continues to add dozens of churches each week and add about one new Provisional Conference each month. At least as of today, here’s the financial obligations for a Global Methodist Church and where you make the payments.
Benefits Payments
Pension and Health Insurance are billed separately each month via email. Life and Disability Insurance is billed quarterly…also by email. The instructions on paying online can be found here: https://videos.files.wordpress.com/Ia8UqSZ2/online_payments.mp4
| Payments can be made to: | Global Methodist Church PO Box 1158 Reynoldsburg, OH 43068 |
Conference Connectional Funding
This is the financial obligation to support the work of the denomination in your region which includes the President Pro Tem and Presiding Elders. Your payment depends on if your Conference is Provisional or Transitional. Conferences are Transitional until they take all the steps necessary to be approved to be a Provisional Conference.
- Transitional Conferences: Connectional Funding is sent to the General Church (see below)
- Provisional Conferences: Connectional Funding is sent directly to the Conference. See the Conference website for more details.
General Church Connectional Funding
This is the financial obligation to support the worldwide denomination. The yearly amount is 1% of last year’s operating income for a church.
- Pay Online: https://globalmethodist.org/connectional-funding/
- Pay by Check: Make checks Payable to “Global Methodist Church” and send to
11905 Bowman Drive, Suite 501A
Fredericksburg, VA 22408
In the next weeks, I’m going to get a little more into the details of the Benefits Billing as well as the Connectional Funding Calculation.

How are moving expenses recorded on the pastor’s W-2?
Moving expenses paid for by the church (either directly or as a reimbursement) should be added to the amount in Box 1.
This may be a silly question BUT how does the GMC know which email to send the billing invoices to? Who do I contact to give them my email?
If invoices aren’t going to the right place, contact benefits@globalmethodist.org. Two or three months are so it finally occurred to us that we should ask for the billing email on the enrollment application instead of just the pastor’s email. Live and learn….
How does the GMC know which email address to send the billing invoices to? To whom do I send my email?
How do churches value assets on the balance sheet such as vehicles and real estate properties?
Hey Jan, Most churches don’t include the value of vehicles and real estate on their balance sheet. This isn’t really correct. The correct way would be to record them at their original cost when purchased plus the cost of any subsequent improvements.
