I love creating spreadsheets. I’m halfway convinced that nearly all of life’s problems can be solved with the right spreadsheet. Today’s problem…donor software is too expensive for most small churches or nonprofits so is there an alternative?
My offering is the spreadsheet linked here. I use Google Sheets, but this can be downloaded into Microsoft Excel as well. In the video, I go over exactly how to use the spreadsheet. Here, I’m just going to walk you through getting a copy of your own.
- Get a Google Account: If you don’t have a Google account, you can sign up for free. If you are just going to download the Microsoft Excel version, you can skip this step.
- Click this Link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1g79iIJMr48lBJ8Pf_iVmiTSwAaFDSb6vXdntC0OMbT0/edit?usp=sharing
- Download or Make a Copy: If you want the Excel version, go to File >> Download >> Microsoft Excel. If you want the Google Sheets version, go to File >> Make a Copy.
- Name it: In the video, I recommend making a copy for each year (e.g., Church Donations – 2024).
That’s it. This is free. Hopefully you’re getting more benefit than what you paid for it. 😉
