The UMC Split: Faithfulness in our Commitments to Each Other

In thinking about what a good split would look like in the United Methodist denomination, I hope we finish well. I hope that those that leave follow through with their commitments. I also hope that those that stay follow through with theirs as well.

What are those commitments. I try to pick out the ones that I think are most relevant at this time. Are there others you would include?

So…I’ve learned a lot about YouTubing over the last 3.5 years. I currently have the second largest United Methodist YouTube channel in the Dakotas. Embrace Church is beating me, but I’m beating Dakota Wesleyan.

The UMC Split: A Good Home for Every Church & Every Pastor

Many of us are fortunate enough to know what a good home feels like. It might be your biological home or with your in-laws or even with a group of good friends, but it’s so important to have a good home if we are going to do our best work.

In this week’s offering, I give you three questions to ask yourself (either as an individual or a church) to help in discerning if the UMC or GMC will be a good home.
