For 2023, I only made two correct predictions out of ten tries. If I do this badly on my 2024 predictions, I’m going to change up strategies and try to make bad predictions. I couldn’t do much worse. Here are my 2024 Predictions:
- #10 The cat finally kicks the bucket: The cat (Chubs) will be 16 years old and is diabetic. I feel like that as long as the cat is on this list, he’s practically immortal.
- #9 Pospisil’s go on a real vacation: 16 years ago we drove to the Grand Canyon. I don’t think any of the kids were old enough to even remember the trip. Ever since then, we just visit family. Is this the year we vacation again?
- #8 Young love: None of my kids have ever had a boyfriend or girlfriend that I’m aware of. Since they are all teenagers now, I’m betting one will have a significant other.
- #7 Bills win the Super Bowl: I have predicted this every year since 1991. Some day I will be right!
- #6 Pausing the 10-Minute Treasurer: I don’t think I’ve missed posting a week for the last four years. I’m due. Either illness or the like will cause me to miss several weeks.
- #5 PlainSpoken finishes BODD Series: Every week I watch Jeffrey and TJ ploughing through the Book of Doctrines and Discipline. Most people would have quit by now, but I’m betting they will get to the end.
- #4 Over 7,500 Global Methodist Churches: I think we are at just over 4,000 churches. I would guess a large number of international churches join. There will also be plenty of new churches as well as some churches waiting to see if the Global Methodists are legit.
- #3 Dow Jones (DJIA) up 7%: I think the gridlock in Washington DC will lead to a stable business environment and a return to normal markets.
- #2 Tax Rebates for Votes: We seem to receive a lot more cash back from the government. It wouldn’t surprise me if rebates were announced this summer to be paid out in October and early November.
- #1 Election Winner…not Trump or Biden: Biden is unpopular and is perceived by many to be way passed his prime. He now also has legal issues. Trump is very divisive, has legal issues, and seems to be slowing down. I would guess one or both may drop out of the election. A replacement will win.
