This feels a little like deja vu. It was a little over a year ago that I was announcing that I was leaving the Dakotas Conference of the United Methodist Church to teach at Dakota Wesleyan University. Now I’m announcing that I’m leaving Dakota Wesleyan University to account for the Global Methodist denomination.
Since January, it has been my usual practice in the morning to pray for churches in the disaffiliation process as well as for my role in the Global Methodist denomination. I figured that I would consider my life well spent either teaching at Dakota Wesleyan for the next 30 years or serving the Global Methodists in some capacity for the next 30 years. Suffice it to say, through these prayers and the prayers of many many other friends, I feel like serving the Global Methodists is the right decision.
For the blog and the YouTube channel, I still plan on making weekly posts. I still plan on living in Mitchell, South Dakota for the time being. Please pray for me and my family as we make this transition. Also, pray for Dakota Wesleyan University. They are such a great school that I really hope they will find someone really good to replace me.

Jeff- The Global Methodist Church is lucky to have you.
Thanks, Mary! I’m really looking forward to the challenge.
