This is the very first year that there will be churches planning their budgets and related compensation plans as Global Methodist churches. This is my effort to help these churches with this process as well as let future Global Methodist churches see what it will be like.
As an accountant, I started out loving Red Tape. I liked being able to navigate all the tax rules and forms. I knew that people would need me to guide them through the process.

Last week I looked at the cost difference between the United Methodists and the Global Methodists. This week I’m looking at the benefits. This was a difficult one as the GMC is only about four months old. They have more promises than proven benefits. I still did make an effort with what I’m aware of. I hope it helps!
A lot of attention has been spent talking about the cost of disaffiliating from the United Methodist denomination. While this is important, it’s a one-time cost. What about the ongoing costs? While there are many unknowns, there are some costs that are fairly certain…at least in the short-term.
